The Feldenkrais Method is a science-based approach that uses movement to help children with special needs.
In working with children the focus is on a child’s abilities. This approach helps the brain perceive differences and form new connections, which can lead to breakthroughs in movement, thinking, self-regulation, and connection with others. The Feldenkrais method make use the brain’s ability to change and adapt when appropriate conditions are present. This can lead to improved physical and cognitive functioning. The method has been used to help children with a variety of conditions, including autism, cerebral palsy, ADHD, genetic disorders, birth defects, and developmental delays. It has been shown to help children move, think, interact, and feel better. The Feldenkrais Method is a holistic approach that considers the whole child, not just their diagnosis or symptoms.
