For many of us modern life means spending most of our time in relatively contstrained positions, using many "abstract" functions of our brains and limiting our physical activity to the tapping of the fingers on the keyboard of our computers or to the sliding of one finger on the mobile phone script whilst our eyes have to maintain their focus at fixed distance during most of the day.
In such a situation our self-image shrinks as most of our body is badly neglected during the day.
Even whilst performing physical activity, the urge of competing can cause strains on weakened body parts and very few activity involve the whole person.
Feldenkrais can help by means of original and never repetitive sequences of movement performed with attention that will put you in touch with your whole self.
This gentle, process oriented movement, is a valuable complement to many discipline like
- Yoga
- Tai-Chi
- Aikido
- Contact Improvisation
- Contemporary Dance
- Conscious dance/movement
- Mindfulness
- and more...
